one of the marketing services i subscribe to called me 2 days after the report and asked if i wanted to join in and short the grains?!?! i told him if'n he had called 2 days prior with a good case to short, i may have been more open to the idea at that time frame.
out of the 2 i subscribe to, and all the free ones on the net i visit..........i think every one of them were looking for a slight cut in corn yields. they where not bullish, nor bearish. i would say most where comfortably neutral. a couple did mention you might want to price some cash grain ahead if you where worried a bearish surprise could be revealed? but they made no urgent push for sales.
i feel Lanworth is and has been on to something since way back in the summer concerning this past crop. if you look the past few days, lot's of Headlines making news saying "chances for Food Price Inflation seen falling"..........i'm with Doug, these reports seem to have become stimulus opp's for distressed Government partners.
death & taxes, you know what they say! JD
